"Lily and the Dawn Rainbow"

Lily loved to draw. She sat on her bedroom rug with her sketchbook and her best friend, a fluffy white bunny. Lily drew stars, clouds, and big sunny smiles. She always shared her best crayons with Bunny, making sure he had the prettiest colors.

One morning, a soft glowing light peeked through her window. Lily put on her glasses and looked outside. The backyard was gone! Instead, a path of sparkling silver grass stretched out as far as she could see. Bunny wiggled his pink nose at the glowing trail.

Lily and Bunny stepped onto the sparkling grass. They had found the shimmering meadow, a place where unicorns paint rainbows at dawn. A gentle breeze whispered a secret to Lily. It told her, with a kind heart, the brightest magic begins. Lily smiled and held her sketchbook tight.

In the middle of the meadow, a little blue unicorn looked very sad. He was trying to paint a morning rainbow, but his brush was tangled in a thick bush. The unicorn stepped back, feeling too shy to ask for help. Bunny nudged Lily's ankle gently.

Lily did not hesitate. She walked over to the blue unicorn and spoke in a soft, sweet voice. "I can help you," she said. Carefully, Lily used her gentle hands to untangle the brush from the twisted branches. The little unicorn gave her a happy nuzzle.

Just as the unicorn started to paint, a thick gray fog rolled over the meadow. The fog hid the beautiful morning sky. The unicorns could not see where to put their red and orange stripes. The meadow grew dim, and the magical painters felt lost.

Lily opened her purple satchel. She took out her bright crayons and drew a glowing sun on a large green leaf. She held it up high to guide them through the gray fog. She remembered, with a kind heart, the brightest magic begins. The unicorns cheered.

The rainbow was almost finished, shining beautifully in the sky. But Lily noticed a tiny pink unicorn standing far away on a little hill. She was too small to reach the top of the rainbow arch. She dropped her brush, feeling entirely left out of the fun.

Lily and Bunny hurried over to the little hill. Lily knelt down and offered the tiny pink unicorn a warm, comforting hug. Then, Lily opened her sketchbook. She invited the tiny unicorn to paint a special miniature rainbow right there on the blank paper.

The biggest unicorn with a golden mane trotted over to Lily. He bowed his head and handed her a magical, glowing paintbrush. The sky rainbow was missing its final yellow stripe. He wanted Lily to paint it. Lily felt a little nervous, but Bunny cheered her on.

Lily took a deep breath and dipped the brush into the sparkling morning light. With a big, joyful sweep of her arm, she painted a brilliant yellow curve across the sky. The meadow burst into a dazzling display of colorful sparkles. The unicorns danced around her.

In a blink, Lily and Bunny were back on her bedroom rug. The sun was shining through the window. Lily looked at her drawing of the unicorns and smiled. She knew that helping others is a wonderful thing. Always, with a kind heart, the brightest magic begins.
